Panic Attacks & Panic Disorder

Panic attacks are sudden, intense episodes of fear that trigger severe physical reactions—even when there is no real danger. Symptoms may include racing heart, chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, trembling, or a feeling of losing control. When these attacks recur unexpectedly, it may indicate panic disorder, often leading to persistent worry about future attacks and avoidance of certain situations.

With eight years of experience treating anxiety disorders across all ages, I provide compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals experiencing panic attacks and panic disorder. I understand how frightening and disruptive these episodes can be, and I work to help patients regain a sense of safety and control.

My approach combines medication management with supportive therapy to reduce the frequency and intensity of attacks, address underlying anxiety, and gradually overcome avoidance behaviors. I teach practical coping strategies to manage symptoms in the moment and build long-term resilience.

Through trauma-informed, person-centered care, I help patients understand the mind-body connection behind panic, reduce fear of the symptoms themselves, and confidently return to activities they may have been avoiding.
