Mood Disorders

Mood disorders encompass a broad category of mental health conditions characterized by persistent disturbances in emotional state that affect how a person feels, thinks, and functions. This includes major depressive disorder, persistent depressive disorder (dysthymia), bipolar disorder, cyclothymic disorder, and mood disorders related to other medical conditions or substances. These conditions go beyond normal emotional ups and downs—they significantly impact quality of life, relationships, and daily functioning.

With eight years of experience providing comprehensive psychiatric care across the lifespan, I offer specialized expertise in diagnosing and treating the full spectrum of mood disorders. I understand how deeply these conditions can affect every aspect of a person's life—from energy and sleep to self-esteem and the ability to find joy in everyday moments.

My evidence-based approach combines thoughtful medication management with supportive therapy to help stabilize mood, prevent relapse, and address the underlying factors contributing to emotional dysregulation. I work collaboratively with each patient to find the right treatment balance—whether that involves antidepressants, mood stabilizers, or other targeted interventions.
